Whether you’re new to a shamanic path or have been consciously following one for years, this series offers a focused container and bi-weekly support through a ritual circle that includes learning from the Old Stories, journeying with the drum, and nonverbal drawing, writing and/or movement to hold and integrate soul-shifting and emergence around a particular theme.
With so much out of balance, alignment and integrity with the Masculine in power in the Collective right now, one of the themes I’ve been feeling so strongly for 2026 is “Turning Towards the Sacred Hunter.” I have been walking with and being taught by this aspect of the hunter archetype for the past year and so this will be at the heart of this group exploration for both editions of this series. The Sacred Hunter is the one who goes out and finds the nourishment needed for the self, family and/or community from a place of right relationship with the natural world and the soul realm that includes humility, gratitude and consent. While often strong and fierce when needed, they recognize their place in and with the interdependence of all beings and the life-death-life cycle of the Sacred Feminine and are also often connected to the gifts of discernment and justice.
Stories about both the out-of-aligment and Sacred hunters are told across most, if not all, cultures. Some of these include: “The Seal Hunter/The Wounded Seal” (Scotland), “Calling the Spirits” (Inuit), stories of Kana’ti and Awi Usdi(Cherokee), “Ochosi, the Orisha of the Hunt” (Cuba), stories about Gwyn ap Nudd and the Cwn Annwn (Wales) and those of the Goddess of the Hunt as either Diana (Roman) and Artemis (Greek). The story of “The Seal Hunter/The Wounded Seal” will anchor this series and there will surely be a couple of these others that find their way into our exploration as well.
All are welcome and no prior journeying experience is required. In-person group size will be limited to 6 participants. The virtual group size will be limited to 8.
