The Three Nights of La Huesera

For the better part of the past year, I have been participating in a Celtic storytelling apprenticeship with best-selling Scottish author and host of the “House of Legends” podcast, Daniel Allison. This offering of, “The Three Nights of La Huesera,” is my final project for this apprenticeship.

Weaving together a variation of the story of La Huesera (origins: the Sonoran Desert of Northern Mexico) which I drew up from the land as part of my Myth Moot journey on Abenaki land in northern Vermont last Fall, together with three stories from the Celtic lands – one each from Wales, Scotland, and Ireland – this journey will be many-faceted with plenty of opportunities for audience participation (should you choose to engage in that way).

Snacks will be provided and the story (which will run about 75 mins in length) will be followed with a debrief and storyteller Q & A about the process and the story.

Come help La Huesera (The Bone Woman) as she brings home the right bones for just the right being needed to help us here and now with the great collective challenges before us!
